Asia Institute of Power Management (AIPM) offered training to a team of senior officers of DABS (Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat) of Afghanistan Government under the aegis of USEA at Kolkata. The programme was designed to disseminate the best practices of CESC Limited on Commercial functioning, IT Applications, Customer Relationship Management, Customer Information System, Tariff Processes, Power System Planning and Management, Metering Process supported with visit to the Call Centre, Meter Lab and CESC Data Centre.

Asia Institute of Power Management secured the training assignment of designing and conducting the “Training of the Trainers” programme in Business Process Re-engineering (BPRE) and Smart Grid for the power distribution Utilities in India and abroad. The concept was mooted by the Ministry of Power under the DRUM (Distribution Upgrade and Reforms Management) project, funded by the USAID with the support of PFC and REC. The basic training modules of BPRE course content was designed by AIPM. To roll out the smart grid programme in Kolkata, AIPM identified IIT Kharagpore for knowledge support and Landis+Gyr as the technology partner and tied up with Singapore Power for the overseas programme. The material content of the course book was reported to be an excellent piece of work and appreciated by the CEA and the group of expert committee.
 
AIPM bagged a training assignment from M/s Aboitiz Power, a reputed power company of Philippines having a combination of six power utilities. The training modules were on modern operations and maintenance practices, cable jointing, trouble shooting, network planning and reliability management. AIPM conducted 6 different programmes in parallel sessions with the participation of a large fleet of engineers from different power utilities of Philippines. The week long Training programme was conducted in CEBU city, located at the southern side of Philippines. The participant feedback report of the entire programme was quite encouraging to AIPM. We feel proud that the utility engineers are continuously in touch with our trainers expressing their need of further follow up programmes.
 
   
AIPM offering training services in series of training programmes to Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC) both in Kolkata and Bhutan. In 2011 AIPM conducted the first training programme on Performance and Efficiency Improvement for BPC employees afterwards several dedicated training programmes on Power Distribution Management, Power System Protection, Inventory and Warehouse Management etc. was bespoken and conducted for the Bhutan Engineers and Executives.
 
 
Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), one of the Public Sector Distribution utility operating in Bangalore, Karnataka awarded training responsibility of their large pool of employees to AIPM. The entire training programme is being conducted at Bangalore with a few in Singapore and some in Kolkata. AIPM carried out thorough Training Need Analysis and identified the areas of concern. Accordingly all technical, financial and soft skill training modules were designed and delivered. The training programme has started from March 2013.
 
   
AIPM offering training services to Engineers of PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) on Best Power Distribution Practices and Power System Protection in successive training programmes at Kolkata since 2011. The programme was designed to give the participants a succinct overview of the best practices of Modern Protection System in power transmission and distribution business and the practices followed in CESC.
 
 
AIPM has been entrusted by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) for training of their offices in batches on Advance Level Power Distribution Management Programme. WBSEDCL has also sent their officers in batches to Singapore through AIPM for undergoing a two week training programme in Singapore Power Training Centre and witnessed the best practices in Distribution management prevailing in the modern era. The Singapore course was followed by a two weeks training at AIPM Kolkata for understanding the implementation process. WBSEDCL Engineers opine that value addition of the training programme is excellent and an enabler to leapfrog their organisation in technology and reliability.
 
AIPM designed training module for Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) Engineers according to the requirement of their officials. These programmes were focussed on Modern Power Distribution Practices. A large pool of Engineers of APDCL came to Kolkata to participate in the series of training programmes during 2011 & 2012.
 
 
The Asia Institute of Power Management designed two week long programme for the Sikkim Engineers with the objective of arresting AT&C Losses. The course stressed on metering, technical and commercial applications for efficient distribution system. All the participants were thoroughly engrossed with the theoretical and practical trainings offered by AIPM experts. The participants had vibrant interactions with the trainers on methods and practices of CESC system.
